Son of painter Manuel D'Assumpcao Portuguese born in Lisbon in 1956 and now lives in Guimaraes, northern Portugal.
Exhibited regularly since 1989. It is also a member of the Society of Authors and Artists Portuguese Association, International Society Illustrated Letter Writing, CECLART, "Artists for Peace" and "Archetypal Expresionism, founded by the writer, art critic and artist Constantin Severin. His paintings are in various collections such as the Banco de Portugal, Cupertino de Miranda Foundation, JPF, House Pascoe Family of poet Antonio Pinheiro Guimaraes and other private collections in Portugal and other countries.
He has participated as a juror in the 2 nd and 3 rd International Art Biennial Youth "Vila Verde." He was selected by the International Jury to participate in the 4 International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Florence, Italy. He was selected to participate in the "BIRD 2005 International Art Award, Beijing - China, and the 1 st International Art Biennial Chapingo, Mexico.
Along with Maria Isabel D'Assumpcao, creates modern tapestries in the typical Portuguese "Arraiolos" with exclusive designs. It is represented worldwide by RCG Consulting Group, California, USA.
